Customer Communications for an Agricultural Equipment Manufacturer

Marketing Objective:

To deliver a higher degree of customer satisfaction, MMG executes a monthly customer welcome campaign for an agri-brand to thank customers for purchasing row sprayers, a major equipment investment.  The campaign incorporates both dealer and corporate elements of communication.

Personal Touch:

On a monthly basis, MMG receives purchase data from our client and prepares it for segment-based thank you touches that consist of:

  • Printing and mailing of personalized ‘thank you cards’ that incorporates signatures of the dealer sales and service manager;
  • Printing and mailing of a personalized letter from the corporate office;
  • Places phone call on behalf of company in which the customer is thanked once again and asked to confirm customer record information and provide email address for down-stream communications.
  • Incorporating an appreciation gift in to the ‘thank you’ mailing.  The gift varies based on the customer segment.

MMG manages the entire process to ensure all customers receive the appropriate contact and ‘thank you’ gifts.

 Business Impact:

Survey of customers six months after purchase found that they were pleasantly surprised by the expression of thanks and they plan to continue to visit their local agri-brand dealer for service.
